
Gatis Zogla began his career in company "EKODOMA" in 2005, while still being a student at the Riga Technical University, Faculty of Electronics and Energy. He is currently a leading energy auditor and project manager in "EKODOMA". His main responsibilities are EU project management and administration, as well as planning, preparation and expert analysis of energy audits in different types of buildings. Since 2004, Gatis has participated in several projects related to energy efficiency in the public, residential and industrial sectors, and proved to be a remarkable energy auditor.
From 2008 - 2013 Gatis worked as a researcher at Riga Technical University, in Environmental and Energy Systems Institute (EESI), where the main duties included research, experiments and laboratory works. And since 2013 he works as an assistant professor of RTU EESI.
Parallel to his work in Ekodoma, Gatis in 2012 defended his doctoral thesis "Using Innovative Approaches for Modeling Political and Technological Solutions for Energy Efficiency in Buildings."
Since 2009, Gatis is a certified energy auditor and acts as an independent expert in the field of energy performance of buildings. Also, since 2009, Gatis Zogla is the chairman of the board of Latvian Energy Auditors Association. Gatis has participated in a number of drafting legislations related to energy efficiency in buildings. Gatis lives in Riga, at Līči. He is fluent in Latvian, English, Russian and German languages.
